As part of our reservation process, through Open Table, we ask for credit card details to secure your booking. Your card will only be charged if you simply don’t turn up on the night.

We have had to implement this policy to protect our business. We prepare our orders and staffing based on expected guests. If people fail to turn up, it leaves us out of pocket. Thank you for your understanding.

We kindly ask that any cancellations are made no less than 24 hours prior to the time of your reservation. If you are unable to fulfil your reservation on the day or should a late cancellation occur, a fee of £10 per guest will be applied to the credit card provided.

Hestia Garden is only walk-ins. The Plough Shiplake also welcomes walk-ins, however, for evening bookings or indeed larger groups you are encouraged to book online or call ahead (01189403999) to guarantee a table.
