Spring Wreathmaking Workshop
Slow down and enjoy a wonderful morning of Spring creativity.
Local dried flower artist, Lyndsay, from Moomi Botanicals, will help you create a scented everlasting spring wreath, using eucalyptus, dried flowers, grasses and mimosa.
As the official flower of International Women’s Day (March 8th), mimosa is a gorgeous flower that celebrates femininity, tenderness and motherhood.

Pub Tennis
We love to have fun at The Plough. And are always thinking of events to offer our customers unique experiences.
So for all you tennis fans, we have the perfect day out. Join us for an afternoon at The Shiplake Tennis Club, as the very talented, and equally entertaining club tennis coach, Dave Vaughan, puts us through out paces (all in the name of fun). We will return to the pub at the end of the games for a well-earned Burger or Fish & Chips and pint of beer or glass of wine.

2nd Anniversary
There’s something wonderful about celebrating a special occasion in December. It comes with an automatic feeling of joy and happiness.
So, it is with that extra bit of holiday spirit we invite you to join us on Saturday 7 December as we celebrate our 2nd anniversary. The gorgeous JAZZ FORMATION will be playing in the bar from 2pm. SILLA will keep the party going from 6pm with her soulful holiday favourites, as well as some R&B classics.
To mark the occasion, we will be selling The Plough Christmas Club all weekend (Friday through Sunday) in aid of Launchpad Reading. All proceeds will go to helping the homeless this holiday season.
My heart is so full of thanks as we approach this milestone; for my team, my family and friends and for our wonderful array of customers. This journey has been a blessing I never could have imaged. Thank you for being part of it.
Festive Wreath Making
Join us for a lovely morning of Floral Art, lead by Lyndsay from Moomi Botanicals, as you create a sustainable festive centrepiece or wreath, that will last long past the holiday season.
Lyndsay will share her talent for dried flower artistry, using all natural materials, including a 20cm willow hoop (extending to 30cm with flowers), dried flowers, seed heads and seasonal accents.
Enjoy coffee on arrival, followed by the morning workshop and 2-course lunch, including glass of house wine. 12 spaces available.

Fashion Lunch
As we get back into our favourite cosy cardigans and rich autumn colours, we’d like to invite you to join us on Thursday 10 October when fabulous local stylist Maggie McMillan and SpaceNK makeup artist Alex Rosas will be discussing all things fashion. From owning your style to building confidence from what you love, this is sure to be a fun and informative lunchtime event.

This Halloween, The Plough Shiplake and Moomi Botanicals will be hosting a fun, crafting workshop for older children (11+) and teens, where they can decorate their own pumpkin with homegrown pressed flowers and autumnal leaves.

Hestia Festival 2024
Save the date. We will be hosting our annual HESITA FESTIVAL on Saturday 24 August from 2pm - late. We kick things off at 2pm with the amazing Ukraine Jazz duo, Jazz Formation, lead by Robert Otwinowski. A silent disco will be available all day for the little ones (or not so little ones). As will some of our favourite traditional garden games. We finish the day with the stunning vocalist, Shan Bowden, when the firepit area is sure to turn into a dance floor.
